My fifth month as
a digital marketing apprentice

I am now another busy month into my Digital Marketing apprenticeship with Credere Media.

Since my last post I have not been back at college but I have been preparing for my next class which is Google Analytics. I have completed and passed the beginners section of the course, ready to attend college to complete the advanced course and then in time take the final exam and get my certification for Google Analytics.

Social Media

The past month has been very social media orientated for myself and I have loved it. I have followed and expanded the social media plan that I created in March for ourselves and continued tweaking content and posts to find the most engaging and well received posts. The Credere Media social media channels are going well, with an increased amount of engagement on each post and more impressions being made. I hope to continue this growth throughout my apprenticeship and increase the reach of the channels for us.

Not only have I have the chance to work on Credere’s social channels, I have been working on two of our clients social media channels as well. This has been a great chance to sit and work on a social media plan that will be used by someone outside of Credere Media.

This month we also headed off to Allendale Forge Studios to put on some social media training for the staff there. It was a great to sit down and look at their social media and give our thoughts and advice on the current usage of their social media channels.

SEO

Much like the previous months I have also been spending time working on SEO. This month I have been looking at our own SEO. It has been brilliant to have access to the Credere Media website and make tweaks to the content for SEO . In a few weeks we have managed to rank for three key phrases that we previously did not. Hopefully as the next month goes on we start to increase up the rankings and show for more keywords and/or phrases.

The e-commerce store we were working on last month was launched and now we are waiting to see the results of the page in the search engines results. We are now working on the SEO and getting the site to rank high up the SERP!

Myself and Stu attended the North East Expo earlier in the month to do some networking and sit in on some interesting seminars. Overall it was an informative day and a great chance to see other businesses from the North East and what they have to offer!

The past month has been a busy one, but great fun filled with amazing opportunities.
